Craigs list is tough, but there is Kijiji, Backpage and iNetgiant.

I usually look at the project in the bidding stage and provide the contractor with a proposal for purchasing all of the wood from the site. Some of the more common species I look for are long leaf heart pine, Douglas fir, oak, chestnut, etc. Most of the buildings date from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. I can provide labor to help with the salvaging process especially if that's what it takes to get the contractor to save the wood!

She will submit an application soon for a small development grant to build a business plan and visit several of the recycing facilities. I have left the development of the mattress iniative for Logan County in her hands since my energies are needed urgently in other areas. I will stay in touch as she progresses.
